CONCEPT

The C2L is a competition on engineering and management that promotes learning. The competition consists of the resolution of cases and decisions planning in a management simulator.

The C2L evolves through two branches of the competition between teams:

- Simulation

Each team has 5 decisions using the SDG Simulator, used at Global Managements Challenge. This simulation involves:

• Historic analyzes;
• Drawing a medium-term strategy;
• Making decisions in several areas, understanding the interactions between different areas of the company;
• Analyzing results based on the economic situation and competition of the market;
• Competing for the best results.

-Cases

The cases are supplied by international consultants

The maximum numbers of team participation is 30, with four or five elements.

ORGANIZATION OF THE COMPETITION

The competition has 4 phases:

1. Case presentation and resolution – at IST – Taguspark Campus. At the end of the day the winners of the case competition (one team for each case) are choose.
2. Web Experimental Decision
3. Clearance (5 non-presence weekly decisions – Web decisions)
4. Final (5 decisions to be held on the last day of the event, in the IST-Taguspark Campus) and Dinner – Closing Debate.

It should be noted that the first three stages are for all participation teams.
